Annual Report 2023/24
This report provides an overview of the Commission's work in the 2023/24 financial year. Work undertaken this year included advice to the Government on the second emissions reduction plan, our third annual advice on NZ ETS unit limits and price control settings, public consultation on our draft work on emissions targets and budgets, and our first monitoring reports on emissions reductions and climate adaptation.

Annual Report 2022/23
This Annual Report tells the story of the Commission's mahi in 2022 and 2023, including work we delivered in 2022/23 and work we began to develop for 2023/24 and beyond.
Our key highlights this year included delivering two pieces of advice on price limits and unit supply settings for the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme (NZ ETS). We also prepared draft advice to inform the strategic direction of the Government's second emissions reduction plan and consulted widely on it, ahead of releasing our final advice due at the end of 2023.

Annual Report 2021/22
This annual report covers the Commission's work in 2021 and 2022. Following the delivery of Ināia tonu nei (our first piece of advice to the Government) in 2021, our third year marked our movement into a new phase as an organisation. Our key highlights this year included the development and release of two pieces of agriculture-related advice, the development of our first annual Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) advice, the development of our long-term work programme, and supporting staff performance and wellbeing.
Erratum: The Commission’s FY21/22 annual report inadvertently omitted to disclose a settlement payment relating to the cessation of a staff member's employment. This has been updated (refer p.56 “Staff remuneration”).

Annual Report 2020/21
In 2020/21 the Commission delivered its first advice to Government, Ināia tonu nei: a low emissions future for Aotearoa. This annual report tells the story of how our advice was delivered and how the Commission continued to build and grow as part of this process. The pou (pillars) that uphold the Commission’s work are people, research, and practices/policies and are used in this report to highlight different elements of the journey to Ināia tonu nei.
